Enjoy hop-on and hop-off privileges from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm - a great way to see the best of the city in a short period of time. The full loop takes about two hours. You can ride it once all the way around to get your bearings, then hop off at the sites of greatest interest to you. It's a perfect introduction to this beautiful city!

Itinerary

Friday: Legends & Lore Segway Tour in Atlanta - This spirited tour will give you a look at the city of Atlanta's darker side as you hear local anecdotes and legends! Hotel pick-up is not included, so you will be responsible for providing your own transportation to the departure point, approximately 2.5 miles from the hotel. The tour begins at 7:00 pm and you'll need to arrive 15 minutes early. The journey will take you on a spine tingling trip through the downtown area, from Underground Atlanta to the State House and all the way to Centennial Olympic Park! Hear about Atlanta's most sinister characters and haunted happenings from the famous to the not-so-famous. The tour will roll through Fairle-Poplar District and down Peachtree Street where tales of local legends are told. Then, it's on to Georgia State University to learn about ghosts that haunt the campuses of Atlanta. This Segway tour is a thrilling and one-of-a-kind adventure - a really exciting way to see the city...not to mention a great opportunity to experience how much fun Segways are to operate! Saturday: Atlanta Trolley Tour - You'll love this hop-on hop-off tour of Atlanta! Hotel pick-up is not included, so you will be responsible for providing your own transportation to one of the two downtown departure points (approximately 2 to 3 miles from the hotel). The trolley runs from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, and you may redeem your ticket at any time during operating hours. Let the trolley be your guide to a great overview of the capitol of the south. Downtown, discover all the history from Atlanta's founding through the Civil War. That historical perspective continues in the Grant Park Neighborhood. Then, there's the rich Civil Rights History on Auburn Avenue. Famous writers, artists and beautiful parks can be found in Midtown. And, throughout the city, you'll see places depicting the triumphs of the 1996 Olympics. Along the trolley loop, you will see the major attractions, the best places to wine and dine, the best shopping, where to go for night life, beautiful green spaces and parks, views of the city's architecture, and more. Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Segway?
~ The Segway, Human Transporter is the first of its kind, a self-balancing, personal transportation device designed to go anywhere people do. Easy to use and operate, the two-wheeled Segway sports high-tech gyroscopes that automatically respond to your body's movements, "sensing" when it should speed up and slow down. You stand on a small platform between left and right wheels as you hold onto handlebars at a comfortable waist height. The Segway handles the balancing for you, so that you're always upright as you glide through any environment.

Is there a weight limit?
~ There is a recommended limit of 265 lbs. per person and riders must be within a reasonable range of this limit.

Are the tours canceled in case of rain?
~ No, the tours run rain or shine. There are ponchos available for anyone that needs to purchase one and the Segways themselves run just fine in all weather.

Do we go inside the buildings mentioned in the tour description?
~ You do not enter the buildings! However, you'll get a great orientation so you'll know exactly where you want to go after the tour.

Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities?
~ Although riding a Segway is relatively easy to do and learn, it is required that all riders be at least 12 years of age. Each tour begins with a 30 minute orientation session in the plaza and park next to our office. You will practice on the Segways until you feel comfortable and ready to go out and conquer Atlanta.
